CWP, 5 November 2013 A.D.
Greetings Concealed Weapons Permittees,
Judge Alex Kozinski, U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, says,
“The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision,
one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances
where all other rights have failed — where the government
refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest;
where courts have lost the courage to oppose,
or can find no one to enforce their decrees.
However improbable these contingencies may seem today,
facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.”

When I shot the 2013 Tennessee State IDPA Championships.
I noticed several revolver shooters saving their spent brass and
shoving it into their pockets during the string of fire.  This is a bad
habit, because it wastes time.  The pistol shooters were happy to drop
their empty mags on the ground, and I know they spent $50 to $75
on those stainless steel high capacity mags.  It's a matter of
training.  Perfect practice makes perfect.  Imperfect practice engrains
bad habits, that can get you killed.

A friend has a Kimber Custom Eclipse II, 5" barrel, .45 ACP,
for sale, $800.  Description at

"Seconds that can save your life"
http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/triggernometry-seconds-that-can-save-your-life/
Excerpts:
"You may be able to draw and fire multiple rounds accurately in
half a second but that will do you no good if you don’t know you are in a
fight for the first 2 or 3 seconds of it."
-- the author paraphrases Jeff Cooper
"... practice your presentation with your head in a gunfight.
Step to the side as you draw."
" The principle is “reload when you can, not when you MUST!” "

"The center of mass myth"
http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/the-center-mass-myth-and-ending-a-gunfight-triggernometry/
Excerpt:
"Center mass hits in a gunfight do not in most cases end the fight.
Erroneous assumptions can get you killed!"

Pictures of guns with people.

Neat sentiment.
