Greetings Sheepdogs,

To anger a liberal, tell him the truth”

Lucky Gunner Labs
     Handgun Self-Defense Ammunition Ballistics Test
Notice which bullets did not reliably expand.
Notice which bullets did not expand at all.  Some of
these are very expensive and they behave the same
as copper jacketed round nose bullets.  What a waste
of money!

***** Training *****

Excerpt:  To a person, they all piously swore, amid their
embarrassment, that they cleaned their guns regularly,
but that was obvious a self-serving lie.

Instructors and Qualifications by Paul Howe
Excerpt:  Problems we ran into over the years were that
we taught people to shoot faster than they could
discriminate and see.  This caused many problems with
fratricide and friendly fire [casualties].

Most Dangerous! (holstering)
... designing and manufacturing “safe” guns is akin to
making “safe” chain-saws, or “safe” hand grenades.

Shooting in Self-Defense
Branca added, “I advise people who are being arrested for
a self-defense shooting to ask to be taken to the
hospital. Trust me, it’s better to spend a night in the
hospital than jail.”

What cops need to know about 'levels' of holster retention

I have found that 120 strokes (one stroke is all the
way forward and all the way back) with a bronze brush and
bore solvent (Hoppes No. 9 or something like that) is
required to clean a bore.  I dip my brush in solvent
every 20 strokes.  The bore should appear smooth and
shiny, no rough streaks.  Those rough streaks are
copper or lead fouling.

Purse Carry is the Worst Carry: Part 1
Purse Carry Part 2: Shooting Through Purses
Training is critically important to find out what
doesn't work!
"... at 3 yards ... we had a hit rate of 69% with
a malfunction rate of 34%."
Only a hammerless revolver would be reasonable
when shooting through a jacket or pants pocket.  The
clothing material will foul a hammer or slide.
As the test results indicated, the junk in the purse
blocked or deflected the bullet, especially the coins.

Waffle House is still very anti-gun,
maintaining their gun free zone stance.

Guns on university campuses: The Colorado experience
The U.S. Census Bureau conducts in-person interviews
with several thousand persons annually, for the
National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS). In
1992-2002, over 2,000 of the persons interviewed
disclosed they had been raped or sexually assaulted.
Of them, only 26 volunteered that they used a weapon
to resist. In none of those 26 cases was the rape
completed; in none of the cases did the victim suffer
additional injury after she deployed her weapon.
