Elderly ladies and young ladies are the primary targets of criminal predators.
So you must outreach to such persons to encourage them to seek training.
The vast majority of such persons that you would encounter because of your
social circles due to your socio-economic demographic will think it would never
happen to them, they live in a safe neighborhood, that sort of thing only happens
in the projects, etc. You must dissuade them of this false notion.

If you're wondering about the format of this blog, picture books are much
easier to read than long scrolls of text. That's why the ancients created
"illuminated texts" And the larger the emotional response to the pictures,
the lower the probability of the reader becoming bored with the text.
That's why Playboy magazine works. Remove the pictures and it is unreadable
liberal drivel. That's why funding for libraries to translate Playboy magazine
into audio book format was a partisan issue in the U.S. Congress. You might
be too young to remember that. The Democrats mocked the Republicans
because the pictures can't be translated into prose. That was, of course, a
strawman attack, because the Republicans were objecting to tax money being
used to translate liberal propaganda into audio recordings.
Oh, you didn't know that Playboy was a liberal propaganda journal,
because you only looked at the pictures. Good for you.

"Beyond comprehension."
Consider, for a moment, your dog. Your dog lives in the human world,
but does not understand the human world. Indeed, many of the things you
do every day are completely incomprehensible to him. What's more, some
of the punishments he receives are also unintelligible from his perspective –
despite the likelihood that they are for his own good. And yet you love your
dog, in spite of his lack of comprehension.
This is my attitude towards being a human being in the created universe.
I am God's dog. I live in the created world, but I do not understand the
created world. Comprehension is simply beyond my capacity as a man.
What's more, the existence of suffering and evil are largely unintelligible
from my perspective – despite the fact that I have faith in a benevolent God.
However, my ignorance and incompetence do not preclude me from
being loved by the Creator of the world in which I live. And if I am God's dog,
I can focus on doing what dogs do well: being loyal, being obedient, and
being a good friend. That might be enough.
This week's behavioral experiment:
How is your need to understand interfering with your experience of reality?
Consider relinquishing that need.
Warmly,
Orion

A private citizen with a firearm personally killed the shooter at
Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon.
Bend Police Chief confirmed the suspect was shot by a community
member “who had seen the suspect enter the school, pursued him into
the school, and engaged him.” Officers entered the building and found
the suspect already dead. The entire confrontation was over in seconds
after the first 911 call.
Multiple people were killed in the attack and at least two children
were hospitalized.
The swift armed response by the citizen stopped further violence
at the school that serves around 450 students. Thankful for their bravery 🙏🏽

The latest reports that I have heard on the radio, 99.7 FM in Nashville, TN,
say that the 16 year old bad guy tossed his shotgun over the school perimeter
fence and then climbed over the fence. When confronted by a driver in a pick
up truck, the bad guy shot at the driver hitting the driver's truck several times.
The driver drove away, rather than attempting to run over the bad guy with
the driver's truck. Not everyone is brave.
The bad guy then shot out the glass of a door and proceeded into the school
building.
The community member witnessed this and ran to his car to retrieve his pistol
(because laws passed by evil liberals made it illegal for the good guy to carry his
pistol on school property). If the good guy had been carrying his pistol on his
body as he normally did, he would have been able to prevent all of the casualties
and fatalities.
Remember, gun control laws only affect law abiding citizens. Criminals do
not obey laws. So the effect of gun control laws is to create unarmed victims
for armed criminals to prey upon. This is also the intent of gun control laws.
Don't be deceived by liberals giving you any other reason for such laws.
Never send your children into gun-free-zones.

Dear Jonathan:
On Thursday, October 15, a gunman killed four people and critically wounded
two others at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. The district’s gun
policy deserves more attention: Bend–La Pine prohibits teachers with concealed
handgun permits from carrying firearms at school.
It was one of just 25 of
Oregon’s 197 school districts that had adopted a ban on licensed concealed carry.
An armed bystander saw the attacker enter the school, followed him inside, and
stopped the attack before police arrived. Federal law enforcement sources
identified him as a concealed handgun permit holder. One said he “definitely
prevented more deaths.” On Friday, Fox News quoted me extensively in a
lengthy article examining gun-free zones in the context of the attack.

"Armed Parent Broke Oregon Law to Stop the Bend School Shooter"
by Keith Graves
---
Stephen P. Wenger sends by email -- Updated without a Link:
The teenage school shooter who murdered four at an elementary school
[in Bend, OR] has been named as John J. Griffin . . .
Griffin was shot dead minutes after he began his rampage by Kalub Giamanco,
age 36, a dad of two children at the school who heard the gunshots as he drove
home for his lunch break. Giamanco's wife Kelsey and brother Kyle, along with
several of his friends, confirmed he was the hero who intervened by running inside
the school. He holds a concealed carry permit and is friends with the family of the
seven-year-old in the wheelchair who was wounded . . .
Griffin used his mother Shauntai Nickerson's Maverick 88 12-gauge pump-action
shotgun to carry out the massacre. Police said the gun was bought about the time
of Griffin's 16th birthday. He used it to blast his way through a 'safety vestibule'
system designed to keep children at the school safe from school shooters. Griffin's
motive is unknown, but he attended the school as a child before moving on to the
local high school . . .
Nickerson, age 43, a medical aide at Touchmark Living Centers, has a long list
of traffic violations and was charged with DUI at 1:37 AM on July 29, 2018, by
local police in Bend. She was also convicted of harassment in 2023 with a second
charge of fourth-degree assault from the same incident dismissed.
(Oregon law does not ban licensed carry on school grounds, leaving the
matter to local districts, and Bend-LaPine is one of the districts that keeps its
teachers and visitors disarmed. Nevertheless, “A teacher threw her phone at
the teenage gunman who killed four people at an Oregon elementary school,
then tackled and fought with him - likely saving lives before he was shot by
a father who followed him into the building, police said Friday.”
For list members unfamiliar with the Maverick 88, it is a series of Turkish-built
pump guns sold by Mossberg, with most models having an MSRP of $290.)

Thoughts on Bend, OR school shooting --
As in many Active Shooter attacks, many “lucky” things happened in the
Bend, OR attack that led to a low victim-count. Also, this attack had many
things that are common in other elementary school attacks. And, no Boogie Man
arguments were fulfilled.
Luck --
We were extremely lucky that the attacker started shooting outside the building,
very similar to the Uvalde, TX attack. This drew attention from the hero who
stopped it and generated 911 calls to be made well before the killer entered the
building.
We were EXTREMELY lucky that at just that moment in time, an armed man
who had children in that school just happened to be driving by and saw the armed
attacker shoot his gun then walk toward the school. And we were lucky that this
man was willing to risk everything to follow, find, and stop the attacker.
Common in Elementary School Attacks --
Many things that happened during this attack are common in Active Shooter
attacks at elementary schools, so should have been anticipated and planned for.
I discuss these in my book, "First 30 Seconds."
1. The killer was an OUTSIDER, not a student, staff member, or parent. So far,
all Active Shooters at elementary schools have been outsiders.
2. Active Shooters at elementary schools force their way into the building or
shoot victims on the playground. The Bend, OR killer forced his way into the
school. Even after Sandy Hook, Covenant, St. Louis Performing Arts School,
and others, schools continue to foolishly believe that locked doors will keep
them safe from evil Active Shooters. The “lockdown drill” works well on days
the school is not attacked. It gets people killed during an attack.
3. The attack and killing were stopped by violent counterattacks from people
“present.” From reports, a teacher physically struggled with the killer, delaying
his ability to kill. Then the brave, armed father shot him to death, permanently
ending his ability to kill.
4. Because the unarmed and armed counterattacks were initiated shortly after
the attacker entered the building and began shooting victims, the victim-count
remained in single-digits (0-9). News reports have said the killer had 44 unfired
rounds, meaning without those brave counterattacks, the victim-count could
have easily gone past 10, maybe past 20 or 30.
5. Skin in the game. The killer was shooting people in THAT TEACHER’S
SCHOOL and at the school where THAT FATHER’S KIDS attended. The brave
teacher and father had “skin in the game.” At Parkland, EIGHT armed deputies
refused to enter the building during the attack. At Houston’s Lakewood mega
church, FOUR uniformed cops already in the building HID during the attack.
People with a personal connection to the place and victims have a stronger
motivation to risk everything to counterattack the killer.
Boogie Man Arguments --
None of the “Boogie Man” arguments (arguments against armed citizens
stopping Active Shooters) played out in this attack.
1. The brave, armed father did not misidentify the killer and shoot the wrong
person by mistake.
2. He did not correctly identify the killer but then shoot wildly and inaccurately
in a crowded school at the killer, hitting innocent people by mistake.
3. Responding cops did not see the father holding his gun and shoot the father
by mistake, thinking he was the Active Shooter. This because the shooting was
over and the attack was stopped before police entered the building.
4. The brave father was not incapable of using a gun to stop the Active Shooter
because he lacked police training. Lining up sights and pulling a trigger are not
police-specific tasks. This father safely and effectively used his handgun to stop
the attacker and save lives, despite having no police training – just like
Pastor David George, Eli Dicken, Vic Stacy, Humberto Garcia, Stephen Willeford,
and others.
This evil attack, which mimicked many past elementary school attacks, ended
with a low victim count not because of the school’s plan, but because of a few
very lucky coincidences, a brave teacher, and a brave father who violated state law
and risked his life.

observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.
To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guard house than my own.
To quit my post only when properly relieved.
To receive, obey and pass on to the sentry who relieves me,
all orders from the commanding officer, an officer of the day,
officers, and non-commissioned officers of the guard only.
To talk to no one except in the line of duty.
To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.
To call the Corporal of the Guard in any case not covered by instructions.
To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased.
To be especially watchful at night and, during the time for challenging,
to challenge all persons on or near my post and to allow no one to pass
without proper authority.

Having memorized and executed these orders, especially in combat zones,
is why security companies love hiring former Marines. Some people have to
be taught to take guard duty seriously. Some do so automatically, because
they understand. Some die, because they were complacent.

No, you don't need to aim at the target. No, you don't need to take the slack out
of the trigger. No, you don't need to fire. Those are all actions based on decisions,
that you make, based on what you see. To automatically shoot as part of your
presentation from the holster to the target is WRONG! If you practice shooting on
every presentation, engraining that behavior, striving to achieve a sub-second to
first shot, you will be shooting faster than you can think. You need time to abort
the shot when you recognize the silhouette is your teenager sneaking back into

And explanation of the Dunning–Kruger effect.
Beliefs control behavior. Ignorance can cause false beliefs. Which cause
incorrect behaviors. But, the subject believes that his behavior is reasonable,
because his beliefs are reasonable. Stop and think about that.
Superstitions are not things that we know are false. Superstitions are
things we know are true, that are false.
How do you fix yourself? You can't. Someone else has to tell you that
your beliefs are wrong. Because you know that your beliefs are true.
Your epistemology convinces you that what you believe is correct.
Only outside intervention can correct the problem.
You don't think that there is a problem. But you should always suspect that
there might be problem. So you always take classes and attend conferences
so that others may observe you and offer corrections. You, of course, must be
receptive and inviting of correction. Otherwise, people won't bother talking

"
• Slop—The distance the trigger travels freely to the rear before you encounter resistance.
• Slack—The distance the trigger will still travel while under tension prior to firing.
• Shot—Where the trigger finishes its’ travel and ultimately fires the weapon."
The correct terms and meanings are:
slack = trigger movement without sear movement (necessary for combat pistols)
break dawn = the hard stop at the end of slack and the start of sear movement
creep = the movement of the sear before the break (there shouldn't be any)
break = when the sear releases the firing pin or striker
over-travel = movement of the trigger after the break (this should be minimized)
reset = releasing the trigger until you hear or feel the click of the trigger resetting
[Thanks to John Farnam.]

"The distance required for reset generally takes it only as far as our “slack” point.

This is false. There will be slack between the reset and break dawn. If you

to perceive it.

If you're not attending conferences and taking classes, at least annually,
there is an excellent chance that you are teaching nonsense.
"The fundamentals don't change and I only teach fundamentals."
FALSE! Completely false. For example:
I remember when 'trigger finger in the register position' was not taught.
Now, hopefully, everyone teaches it.
There are instructor, today, who teach using a compensator on a self-defense
pistol. Self-defense is combat. Combat is often close-quarters-combat. So,
using any pistol that will blow hot gasses and burning powder up into your eyes
when firing from a close-contact-position is WRONG! The redirected concussion
can also cause you severe long term injury.
When using iron sights, a hard focus on the front sight (to know where the
front sight is) and closing the non-aiming (to prevent a double image) is essential.
Some don't understand this, or think they know better, or are trying to differentiate
themselves from the rest of the instructor community because they are so 'advanced'.
Extremely dangerous, because shooting with both eyes open causes misses in high
stress situations, due to aiming using the wrong image.
When shooting with red dot sights, focus should be on the target (and the
red dot should be clear and sharp on the target, if not, fix it). Shooting with both
eyes open is fine with red dot sights, because aiming is done by superimposing
the dot on the target, as opposed to lining up rear sight, front sight, and target.
Grip is strongest when the wrists are straight. So, those teaching students to
bend their writs to point their thumbs forward are WRONG! A weak grip is bad
for weapon retention. Remember what Greg Ellifritz says, "Just because you
brought a gun to the fight does not mean it's your gun. It belongs to whoever
can keep it." Your thumbs don't have to point up, but your wrists must be
straight.
You, the instructor, must have a deep understanding of these things (and
many others) so that you can explain them to your students. Not just how to
do it, but also why it is done, as opposed to any other way of doing it.
I could go on for pages, but you get the idea.
Remember what Claude Werner says, "You don't know what you don't know.
Much of what you know is false." So stay humble and LEARN!

How to get proficient at that task.
Why practice?
“To each, there comes in their lifetime a special moment
when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and
offered the chance to do a very special thing,
unique to them and fitted to their talents.
What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or
unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour.”
-- Winston Churchill
---
All of life is a series of tests. God is testing you. Other humans are testing you.
The best missions / jobs / situations are not applied for, not volunteered for.
You can only be tapped for such. God or whoever is in charge will decide
to tap you based on your past behavior, or not.
"Why did I never get any lucky breaks?" Because you did drugs and drank
alcohol and behaved accordingly. Everyone knew, no matter how well you
thought you hid it. Oh, wait, you actually bragged about it. You were so cool.
"Why did I never have the opportunities that others had?" Because everyone
saw you slacking, cutting corners, and cheating. No matter how well you
thought you hid it.
"Character is what you do when no one is looking."
-- Thomas Jefferson
Everyone since birth has been testing you, evaluating you. And you got
what you deserved based on your conspicuous behavior.
In the Armed Forces, medals are awarded for conspicuous gallantry. The
inconspicuous (which is the vast majority) get no official recognition. But
everyone knows. It's not something that can be hidden. Though, of course,
everyone tries to hide covert operations. But those who were involved, know.
So if you're going to do bad behavior, don't do it publicly, don't brag about
it on social media. Because, if you do, you won't be invited to the parties.
Oh, didn't you know? The history of the Marine Corps is basically officers
going to parties and court martialing each other. No, really, read the histories.

Excerpts:
"Fortunately, most all essential skills are mastered without firing a shot.
Dry fire is the best way to improve draw, reload, malfunction clearances
(using dummy rounds), shooting around cover (with a mirror at the opposing
side to see how much you expose of yourself), one-hand manipulation,
unconventional shooting positions (kneeling, prone, on the side, “roll back”,
etc.) and any other skill that doesn’t require actual repeated trigger manipulation."
"Independent trigger manipulation requires intense concentration and
needs to be mastered before all other skills. It must be practiced regularly,
as it will diminish quickly. Keep in mind, every time you open and close
your hand you are actually “un-practicing” the independent use of the
index finger."

If the enemy or game might be looking in your direction, FREEZE. It is actually

In low light conditions, it is extremely difficult to recognize anything. When I

they needed to keep their mouths closed, because white teeth are high contrast

I am near sighted, so near sighted that my iron sights are blurry when my arms are
out stretched. So I use a technique that John Holschen taught. I bend my arms in an
exaggerated Weaver arm position to bring the pistol in closer to my aiming eye. I am
shooting to the left or right of my body with my pistol over my shoulder. You will
probably need to roll (as opposed to pitch or yaw) the pistol to get the sights in front
of your aiming eye. If you're not familiar with this technique, send me an email and

The low-left scattering for right-handers, and low-right scattering for
left-handers is caused by anticipating the recoil and pushing against the
anticipated recoil. Calling it a flinch is not technically correct. The
solution is the surprise trigger break, as taught by Jeff Cooper and his
disciples.
When using iron sights, the left-right scattering can also be caused by
the rear sight notch being too narrow, making it difficult to center the
front sight in the rear sight notch. The solution is to widen the rear sight
notch by about 2 hundredths of an inch (machine out 1 hundredth on each
side).

"The foundations of your grip are established

Do you see how she is gripping the riser of the bow? She is setting the base
of her thumb and center of her wrist against the center line of the riser. This gets
the bones in the arm directly in line with the force of the bow. Ideally, we
would like to do this with our pistols. And if you look at target pistols used
in the Olympics, you will see this.
But we need to have slim pistol grips, so we can conceal them, and we need
to grip with all of our fingers for weapon retention. So we use a suboptimal grip.
But knowing what optimal is, is always good for andragogical reasons.

“What’s the number one reason for reloading?
Missing the target!”
-- Claude Werner
Jon Plyler, posted a video from "Acumen Tactical" on their Facebook page,
that advocates always doing reloads without retention of the magazine that was in the
pistol. On the theory that it is faster to just reload. The underlying assumption being
that you have another magazine that is fully charged.
The technique shown is wrong because the shooter does not rack the slide.
Just because the slide is not locked back does not mean there is a round in the
chamber. All kinds of strange things happen in combat. Many pistols will
release the slide when the magazine is banged into the magazine well. So all it
takes is a tap on the pistol to release the slide forward on an empty magazine.

"But seriously with the thumbs" by Ben Stoeger
Good advice. Relax your thumbs, let them float.
If you point your thumbs forward or apply pressure with your thumbs, your support
side thumb will get down next to the trigger. The gun won't go bang and you won't be
able to figure out what's going wrong. The problem is that your trigger finger is pressing
against your support-side thumb. Your support-side thumb is blocking your trigger
finger. I know this sounds crazy-stupid, but I've seen it a lot with people who don't let
their thumbs go high by relaxing their thumbs and letting their thumbs float, as Ben
teaches, as Tom Givens teaches, as Jeff Cooper taught.
As Ben says, thumbs forward is wrong.
Let the gun recoil. If you try to control the recoil or prevent the pistol from recoiling,
you are philosophically and physically wrong.
". . . only shoot as fast as you can assess, and . . . assess after each shot,
both of which, we should be training to do all the time anyway."

"Your Index Is More Important Than You Think" by Joel Park
---
Accuracy is consistency. Consistency requires index points.
The index points for your firing-side-hand should be:
⬢ Web between your thumb and index finger up high and tight
into the tang of your pistol.
⬢ Middle finger pressed up tight against the bottom of the trigger guard.
⬢ Middle finger, ring finger, and little finger pressed tight against each other.
⬢ Trigger finger as far up on the frame or slide as it will go.
⬢ Thumb flat against the side of the pistol. Rotate your grip to achieve this.
The index points for your support-side-hand should be:
⬣ Index finger pressed up tight against the bottom of the trigger guard.
⬣ Base of thumbs pressing tight against each other.
⬣ Index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger
pressed tight against each other.
⬣ Thumb is high and relaxed, in contact with your other thumb.
If you relax your thumbs, they will naturally go high, which is correct.
It takes a great deal of muscle tension to pull your thumbs down. Do not
grip your pistol as a hammer (with your thumbs down). Relax your thumbs,
let them go high. This is a pistol, not a hammer.
If you twist your support-side-wrist to get your thumb to point forward,
you are WRONG! Wrists must be straight for a strong grip. Twisting the
wrist weakens your grip. Don't do it. It's just wrong, no matter who says
to do it. Application to authority is a logical fallacy.

Excerpt:
"According to the 2026 National Firearms Survey conducted by researcher
William English, women now account for 45.7 percent of American gun owners.
That’s approximately 40 million women who personally own firearms. The study
surveyed 51,398 American adults between July and August 2026 and found that
approximately 32.7 percent of American adults personally own firearms. Women
represent nearly half of those owners. Even more interesting, the percentage of
gun owners who are women increased from
42.2 percent in the 2021 survey to
45.7 percent in 2026."

"4 Biggest Self-Defense Myths Destroyed"
Myth No. 1: Shoot them in the leg.
Hollywood loves this one. But the law doesn’t support this move. Shooting
someone anywhere can cause death or serious bodily injury, meaning it will
still be treated as a use of deadly force in virtually every state. If you feel the
situation unequivocally requires the use of deadly force, both from a legal
and tactical standpoint, aim to completely eliminate the threat.
Myth No. 2: If it happened outside, drag them inside.
Absolutely not. Moving a person or altering the scene in any way can create
serious legal problems – in fact it is a crime in itself – and makes an otherwise
justified shooting look suspicious.
Myth No. 3: Just fire a warning shot.
Also, a terrible plan. A warning shot in many states is still treated as deadly force,
and it raises an obvious question: If deadly force was truly necessary, why were
you shooting somewhere other than at the threat? From a safety standpoint,
you don’t know where that warning shot could land, putting others in harm’s way.
Myth No. 4: Just show your gun. It will scare them off.
Maybe. Maybe not. Simply showing a firearm can escalate an encounter,
and displaying one under the wrong circumstances can lead to serious criminal
charges. Can you say, “brandishing?” A gun isn’t a prop for intimidation.
If you draw it, you’d better have a legally justified reason for doing so.
Bottom line: Self-defense law is too important to learn from movies,
social media, or your buddy at the range.

"So what did Kaylub do? Kaylub drove to this school entrance, turned into
the parking lot, drove up towards the school, jumped out of his car and went
after the killer. And from what Kaylub’s mother has told us, when Kaylub got
to the doors he found the glass shot out. So he crawled through the opening,
entered the school and immediately found the bravest person in this whole
ordeal – an unarmed teacher – in a fight for her life with the killer. At that point
there were kids and adults in that room who had been shot with a shotgun at
close range. Having seen enough shooting victims over the years I can only
imagine the horror that Kaylub saw when he entered that classroom. And yet
Kaylub still had the wherewithal to shoot the killer from a position where he
would not hit the teacher (or anyone else) with any of his shots.

And now Silver Rail Elementary. They all have something in common.
The active killer shot out a window near a door or the window of a door
to gain access to the building. I wrote about this same topic 18 months ago.
Securing the doors and entry ways into a school with a security film of
some sort is one of the two easiest ways to deny a killer entry into an area
where potential victims are located. And yet here we are again. The killer
in this incident shot his way into the school and had immediate access to
a special needs classroom. And people, especially the families of the victims,
want to know how this could happen.

Email from Andrew Branca --
The Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit just issued an en banc decision that
is almost shocking in the amount of respect it bestows on the Second Amendment
— every bit of respect fully deserved by that enumerated civil right.
Fundamentally, the decision provides a relatively generous pathway for
convicted felons to regain their otherwise lost right to keep and bear arms,
putting hard scrutiny on the federal statute that strips gun rights for ANY felony
conviction, no matter HOW long ago.
What’s most striking about the opinion, however, is the tone. Instead of treating
the Second Amendment like the red-headed stepchild of the Bill of Rights, it places
that right to keep and bear arms on the same high pedestal to which every one of
our civil rights deserves a place.

Always speak and write in complete paragraphs. The paraphraph is the standard

What's working now? The student has no idea what you're talking about.

Now the student understands what's going on and why.

------------------------------ Gear --------------------------------
And the safe storage thereof.
“Your car is not a holster.”
-- Pat Rogers
Your self-defense pistol:
⬧ Must fit your hand.
Grip must be long enough for you to get all of your fingers on the grip.
If your little finger is not completely on the grip, you can't control the pistol.
If you can't control the pistol, you will hit things that you don't intend to hit.
When gripped correctly (barrel in line with the bones of your forearm, web between
your index finger and thumb up high and tight in the tang, middle finger up tight against
the bottom of the trigger guard, thumb flat against the side of your pistol), the tip of
your middle finger or ring finger must point back toward you.
Yes, I know, everyone's anatomy and proportions are different. That's why
you must find a pistol that fits your hand.
⬧ Must be ambidextrous. Just because you're right-handed doesn't mean you will
be right-handed in combat. Yes, self-defense is combat.
This means you must be able to draw your pistol using your support-side hand
only. Can't imagine ever having to do this? [There is much you can't imagine,
but there is nothing that can't happen.] Read the reports of the incident at the
In-N-Out Burger Restaurant located in Twin Falls, Idaho. Yes, you may need to
draw and operate your pistol with support-side hand only. [If you can't do this,
get training and practice. You must be comfortable presenting with support-side
hand only. And then practice until you are confident presenting support-side hand
only. You must be able to reach around your back to get your pistol. (If you can't
because you carry your pistol in the wrong position, that's a problem. Fix the way
you carry ) You must be able to reach around the front of your body to get your
pistol. (If you can't because you're pregnant, that's temporary. If you can't
because your belly is too big, fix yourself.)]
You may need to shoot around the left side of wall. Shooting left-handed
exposes much less of you to the enemy. Which is a matter of life and death.
⬧ Must NOT have a compensator, ported barrel, muzzle break, or anything that
directs the hot gasses and burning powder in any direction other than straight ahead.
You will be firing from a close contact position, because combat is usually close
contact. If your pistol blows hot gas and burning power into your eyes, or if the
concussion causes you traumatic shock or breaks your ear drums, you will disable
yourself.
If you think you will be shooting from your isosceles position at full extension,
you're delusional. Ask Jared Reston. Ask George Zimmerman. Just because
you have a warped perception of reality doesn't mean reality is going to
accommodate you. Instructors who advise you to use a compensator are
doing you a grave disservice.
⬧ Must have at least standard magazine capacity, 13 (45 ACP) to 17 (9mm) rounds,
and you must carry at least one extra magazine (to clear malfunctions). Because you
will need to get at least 2 hits to vital organs to stop the attack, because pistol
ammunition is ballistically deficient compared to rifle or shotgun. [TV and movies
are not real.] You probably can't shoot any better than police in a high stress situation.
They only get 15% to 20% hits on intended target. That means you will need to fire
at least 10 shots to get 2 good hits on one enemy assailant. Criminals operate in gangs,
at least with accomplices. So you will have multiple assailants. So a conservative
estimate with two assailants is that you will be forced to fire 20 rounds, at a minimum.
Much more, if you miss a lot.
If there are more than two assailants attacking you, you're going to need a
second gun. Because you can't reload fast enough to avoid getting shot during
a gunfight.
If your slave state forces you to carry 10 round magazines, you need to carry
at least 2 extra guns / magazines. Make sure you primary pistol and back up gun
(BUG) use the same ammo and same magazines.
The purpose of a high capacity magazine is NOT to let you shoot more;
it is to let you reload less.

Greg Ellifritz's comments --
Thanks for thinking of me, but those things are worse than useless.
I got introduced to them almost 30 years ago. Local ATF agents were
encountering them during warrant service attempts and they wanted
to see how well they worked.
The local ATF firearms instructor used my range to test them.
I was there when he did it. Results:
- Didn't reliably feed in pump or semi autos
- Horrible accuracy beyond about 10 yards
- Only penetrated about 6" in gelatin
After shooting a couple dozen of them with the ATF agents,
I came to the conclusion that I would rather shoot someone with
birdshot, even at longer ranges where it is ineffective. The cut
shells are nowhere close to the ballistic capability of slugs or
buckshot.

What fills the funding gap? Cartel money. Why? Because the cartels send their
people to Ukraine to learn the drone technology, so that they can bring the tech
back home. The cartel money pays for this technology transfer. The Ukrainians
are happy to accept money and to share technology with whoever will help them
with their fight. So far, it has been very successful.
When I was in grad school doing computer stuff at U.C. Santa Cruz, we were
taught when building any computer system, memory is free. It was an engineering
statement. And is still true today. Do you see how this will affect drone warfare?
They are talking about using AI to guide the drone the "last mile" when the jammers
will stop communication with the drone operator. What would allow AI to guide
from home to target? More memory, more maps. Memory may be free, but it's
not weightless. On the other hand, software is weightless and needs zero volume.

The Russian troops surrender, without firing a shot. They surrender in order

This is very different from how we conduct operations. I served for 34

Space is immense, so when two objects come into close proximity, it is either
an extraordinary coincidence or deliberate. Last week, a Russian satellite
deliberately came within 100 feet of a U.S.-Finnish radar satellite believed to be
providing key intel to Ukraine. Before the Russian satellite began maneuvering,
it was over 200 miles from the U.S. satellite. This close call has stoked fears
that Russia is prepared to initiate on-orbit military actions intended to take down
satellites. Russia demonstrated its ability in this sector as far back as 2021,
when it destroyed one of its own satellites in a test. Seemingly in anticipation
of this escalation, the U.S. announced for the first time that it has on-orbit
military capability meant to counter hostile actions in defense of NATO.

We must stop mincing words. The Democratic Socialists of America want to
change the language. They claim to not be communist, yet you can call a turd a
steak, but it will always be just a turd. And after all the debates and words are
spoken, the last fact on the table is that socialism of any sort leads to communism.
Communism was the leading ideological cause of death between 1900 and 2000.
The 94 million that perished in China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, Afghanistan,
and Eastern Europe easily (and tragically) trump the 28 million that died under
Fascist/Nazi [National Socialist] regimes during the same period.
During the century measured, more people died as a result of communism than
from homicide (58 million) and genocide (30 million) put together. The combined
death tolls of WWI (37 million) and WWII (66 million) exceed communism’s total
by only 9 million.
Here is the final tally - non-combat deaths . . . thus mass murder for political,
ideological reasons. And I suspect that Uncle Joe (Stalin) killed just as many Jews
as Adolf did. That is historical reality kids. There has been one Nazi leader.
There have been multiple communist leaders from Stalin to Mao, and from
Pol Pot to Castro - each with his own take on mass murder.
Communism is the socio-political cancer of our times. While all that is left of
Nazism (Nationalist Socialists) is an ugly scar . . . communism is still growing and
spreading its disease.
Communist Body Count: 149,469,610
Nazi Body Count: 20,946,000
Nobody likes Nazis . . . but Nazis are no longer a political force in the world.
There are no Nazi countries. There are no Nazi political candidates (at least none
that can be taken seriously). Communists on the other hand, being far more clever
and imaginative have reinvented themselves and organized along ideological lines
defined by their adversaries (Antifa), defined by race hatred (Black Lives Matter,
Black Guerrilla Family, Black Panthers), and defined by other counter culture,
anti-establishment, anti-wealth ideologies. But make no mistake, at the root of all
these movements you will find pure and undiluted communism.
The Nazi in the media is merely a red herring . . . the attention seeker waved
about by the seemingly indignant communist as he gets closer and closer to his
goals. America is so entranced by this that they ignore the communist’s own
onward march.
And the left knows what I have said, that many Americans are historically,
and likely actually, illiterate and their lives and thoughts are driven by media
optics rather than truth and fact. Their hope is to ensnare as many “useful idiots”
into their wave of indignant rhetoric that it may stifle anything the president
wants to accomplish - and hold the line until 2020.
The communist is eminently more dangerous to America than any jihadist.
I doubt that even the most melting, offended, skinny jeans wearing snowflake
wants to live in REAL communism . . . but that is what these useful idiots are
pushing for . . . and in this country, something some of us will never allow to
happen.
Communism is the enemy of Fascism and Fascism the enemy of Communism
. . . but only like two hyenas fighting over the body of an antelope. They are
both looking for the same thing. Our complete oppression and reliance on what
they think we should be and have, and nothing more.
The enemy of both Communism and Fascism? It is Freedom. And take note -

any time, and with utter recklessness” - Robert Heinlein

Email from Orion Taraban, Psy.D. -- Wednesday, October 14th, 2026
"The utility of hazing."
Modern men tend to get courtship backwards. They tend to come out of the
gate very strong, hoping to impress the woman or sweep her off her feet. However,
this approach tends to leave very little room for escalation. Women eventually
accommodate to the status quo, which can lead to boredom and unrealizable
expectations.
A better idea is to haze her. This involves showing up in the early courtship
process disinterested, at best. Men should give her every reason to leave the
relationship early – and they shouldn't try to stop any of those who choose to do so.
Similarly, they should only reward the woman with increasing privileges and
opportunities as they gradually invest more in the relationship.
The idea is to make her earn a relationship. When a woman has to work for
a commitment, she's much less likely to discard it at the first sign of inconvenience
or discomfort. This is because hazing cultivates loyalty, which is the basis of both
stability and longevity in relationships. The more she invests, the more he rewards
her investment – creating a upward spiral of positive reinforcement.
Warmly,
Orion

What a fine overcast cool day.
I took the neighbor's bitch, Gemina, for a walk, actually she took me for a walk,
because she led (where ever she wanted to go), we stopped when ever she wanted
to sniff something, and we ran when ever she wanted to run.
She would never bark or growl. When other dogs barked at her, she would
point (as dogs point, front right leg bent, facing the threat or game) at them, and
they would execute a submissive behavior and run away. I swear she's been

As we're walking through the neighborhood, there is a baby crawling around

toward us. Gemina immediately lies down on her side to let the baby suck on her
teats. She has lots of teats. The baby crawls over and starts sucking. I guess it's
cute, but it's kind of Twilight Zone or Alice in Wonderland for me. Gemina ain't
lactating, so the baby gets bored and crawls off. We stand around because I want
to make sure someone is going to pick up this baby. And sure enough, an old man
wanders out from the house onto the lawn and picks up the baby, and walks back
into the house.
