Yes, there is a delay because I have to wait for an open source to refer to.
We cannot know things that we could not have known.  For that would cause all kinds
of trouble for our friends.
When I was in Signals Intelligence school at Cory Station, we were taught
to go as high up the chain of command as we could when reporting a suspected traitor.
Because the evacuation order was never given to those in Afghanistan, there
are many SigInt persons manning listening posts in the mountains that still have
not left.  They may be able to bring your loved ones out, if you get word to them
before they destroy their communication equipment.  Go as high up the Marine Corps
chain of command as you can, give the officer or staff NCO the location of your
loved one, and ask them to pass the word to the guys on the inside.  They are
going to say they can't help you, but they might.
I can't know you, so I can't communicate directly with you.  We must depend
on the kindness of strangers.  Trust me.  In the future, you're going to want to
disavow any knowledge of me.
India has always had back channels open with the Taliban.
Talib = one student.  Taliban = two students.  Taliboon = three or more students.
The fiasco in Afghanistan was completely intentional.  So, you know who not to trust.
God Bless.

"Militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves . . .
And include all men capable of bearing arms."
-- Senator Richard Henry Lee, 1788, on "militia" in the 2nd Amendment

If there is not, we are without hope!
No form of government, existing nor theoretical, will keep us from harm.
To think that any government, in any form,
will insure liberty and happiness for an dishonorable population
represents the height of self-deception.”

"Better to stay out of trouble than get out of trouble."
-- Tactical Professor (Claude Werner)

Why good guys lose fights in order of statistical importance:
1.  Decision.  Failure to make the decision to use force.  (Because they did not
understand what was going on, because they were not aware of what was going on.
Because they were not aware.)
2.  INTENSITY.  Failure to fight with intensity, because that's how they trained.
[You really will fight the way you have trained.]
3.  Windows and Timing.  Failure to be patient (as God teaches) to wait for
windows of opportunity and failing to time their counter-attack correctly.
[Tolerance is not the same as patience.]
4.  Skill.  Failure to have the necessary skill required for combat, because of
lack of training and lack of practice.

I just finished a Counter Terrorism course by Michael Mann Security Services.
One of the things we learned was that the Chief of Police of the Metro Nashville
Police Department instructed his officers to "avoid all proactive policing.  They
could respond to calls, but don't initiate anything."  Did you notice the wording?
"could respond" not "must respond".
Having been a cop, that's about the craziest thing I have ever heard.
Another thing I learned was that 85% of critical infrastructure in the U.S.
is protected by private security, because it is owned by private corporations.
Private security gets a bad rap because the level of training is very low.
But, that's at the entry level, because the companies don't give their officers
much training.  The reality is that the level of training of the private security
officers in the "real" jobs is very high, because the companies hire persons who
already have the training.  For example, G4S (before it was bought out by Allied)
had a level of security officer that had as a prerequisite:  so many years of law
enforcement experience or so many years of active duty military experience (with
an MOS in combat arms).  And then their are those private security officers who
guard nuclear power plants and refining facilities, who have extremely high
levels of training.

"Head Buttin Time! How to Head-butt A Bad Guy Real Good" by Michael Kurcina
https://spotterup.com/head-buttin-time-how-to-head-butt-a-bad-guy-real-good/
1. Prepare for action. He’s likely to step into you.
You want to get the jump on him before he has time to do something.
2. Get stabilized with your feet.  You’re about to deliver a head-butt and
you need good energy to inflict damage. It will be like a whiplash motion.
3. As he begins to move you simply place your hands on his chest.
Don’t grab around his neck to pull him into you. If you pull him first,
instead of pushing first then he will reflexively tense up his shoulders,
resist and try to pull away from you.
4. So, with both hands on his chest, simply push him back while you hold
onto him.  As he becomes unbalanced, you will have control of him, and
this is the time to pull him sharply forward into you.  He’ll be like a
rag doll.
5. For a good, effective head-butt don’t just tilt your head backwards as
you pull him towards you.  Tuck your chin to your chest.
6.  Make timing and physics work for you.  Snap down with your torso AND the
crown of your head onto his, while stepping into him.  It’s done almost as
if you are rising, this way you can hit him from a higher vantage point.
Target the sensitive areas of his face and head; his cheeks, temples, nose,
top of his eye sockets or lower-forehead.  He should feel the damage.

"New Study: Grip Strength and Shooting Performance" by Von Kliem, JD, LL.M
https://www.forcescience.org/2021/09/new-study-grip-strength-and-shooting-performance/
Excerpts:
". . . researchers determined that grip strength in the range of 80 lbs and
125 lbs was needed to score approximately 85% and 90% on the pistol qualification
test.  The average grip strength for the female officers in the study was 77.5lbs,
while the average for the men was 121.5lbs."
"78% of the females and 92% of the males passed the qualification test
(22% and 8% failed respectively).  Researchers observed that, for every pound
below the average grip strength required to score between 85% and 90%, the odds
of an officer failing the pistol qualification increased by 2%."
" “In our study, higher rates of failure appeared to be correlated with
lower grip strength.”  Brown continued:  “Agencies should consider minimum grip
requirements based on the issued duty pistol trigger weight.  Although grip
strength issues might disproportionately impact female officers, strength
training may help to mitigate grip-related deficiencies regardless of the
officer’s gender.” "
"Dr. Bill Lewinski, executive director of the Force Science Institute,
supports Brown’s recommendations and was encouraged by the NYPD’s move to a
lighter trigger pull weight:  “We often hear that higher trigger pull weights
can provide increased decision-making time for officers.  The research does
not support that position.”  Dr. Lewinski explained:  “Even the heavier
triggers can have a travel time as quick as 6/100 to 8/100 of a second.
If the decision to pull the trigger has already been made, the travel time
of the trigger isn’t going to result in sufficient time to change your mind
and stop that action.” "

that even mathematics is neither complete, nor consistent."
I assume John is referring to the "Gödel Incompleteness Theorem"
by Kurt Friedrich Gödel, November 17, 1930;
"On Formally Undecidable Propositions of Principia Mathematica and Related Systems".
I've read the proof (and understood it), so I sort of know what I'm talking about.
The theorem only says that there there exist statements that can be formally stated in
any system of mathematics that cannot be proved to be true, and cannot be proved to
be false.  That is to say the truth of the statements are indeterminant.  But, this
would only be meaningful in a self consistent system of axioms.  So, the statement
that all systems of mathematics are not "consistent" is wrong.
Using the term "complete", as in all systems of mathematics are not "complete"
is a little tricky.  Mathematicians use the word "complete" to refer number systems,
such as "the Complex number system is complete because any operation on numbers
as input will result in an output number in the Complex number system".
So, what he really means to say (I think) is "There are statements that can
neither be proved to be true nor proved to be false in any self consistent system
of axioms."  Or, more succinctly, "There exist indeterminant statements in any
axiomatic system."

Louis Awerbuck recommended the Springfield Armory XD.  I have found them to
be reliable.  It's been on the market long enough for Springfield Armory to have
worked out all the bugs.  I am sure you have seen the problem with buying the
latest pistol adopted by the Armed Forces or that large police department.  Even
after the testing, the Sig had major problems (and law suits).  Pistols are like
software; if you are a first adopter, you are the beta tester.  And there are
always bugs in the system that need to be fixed.  Better to go with something
that has been peer reviewed for many years.  Especially if you are going to bet
your life on it.  Especially, if you are going to bet the lives of your loved ones.

Yesterday, a young lady in class told me, "That's how they do it in the movies."
I explained to her that movies are not real.  She gave me a bewildered look and
wondered why I would lie to her in front of all these witnesses.
Not everyone lives in the same world you do.
A little girl [I have no age limits on my students.] was pointing her pistol
to the left of her (as opposed to down range).  So, I told her to keep her pistol
pointed down or down range.
She told me, "It's okay, it's not loaded."
I told her, "That is a bad attitude.  All guns are always loaded."
She got offended and started to cry.  [Now mind you this was after the safety
lecture and an explicit explanation of the safety rules.]
Mental maturity is not correlated to chronological age.  Some girls will
cry for no apparent reason.

     Be careful what you teach.
Because your students will do in combat
whatever you have trained them to do,
no matter how ridiculous.

----- Andragogy -----

An instructor should not expect any learning to take
place the first time new information is presented.
-- "Building Shooters" by Dustin Solomon

My hypocrisy comes back to bite me.  I teach, "Do not teach or coach anyone
whom you are emotionally attached to."  Because this is what will happen.
After giving a brief on why we separate spouses, boyfriend/girlfriends, etc.
on the line, because we don't want one person doing for another person (as opposed
to helping the other person), because that prevents the other person from learning
the skill, as people learn by doing, not just watching.  A young (26 year old)
lady is having difficulty with a task, so I help her.  She starts screaming,
"Don't touch me!  Don't touch me!" The 14 year old little girl on the line next to
the young lady starts freaking out, thinking that I was molesting the young lady.
I made the mistake of asking the young lady to calm down in a rather crude way that
demonstrated undue familiarity.  She responded with a threat of physical violence.
It degenerated from there.
A middle aged lady consoled me by saying, "It wasn't your fault.  She clearly
did not read the documents that you all had mailed out before the class.  Because
they clearly state that if you don't want the instructors to touch you, you have
to tell them before the start of class."  And that too was part of the problem.
The young lady has a key to my apartment, one of my credit cards in her
wallet, and baskets of clothes piled up all over my apartment.  So, she was not
a stranger to me.  She meant, "Don't help me!  Don't do it for me!", but it came
out "Don't touch me!  Don't touch me!"  Which started a horrendous chain reaction.
Professional distance and objectivity are essential.  If you are friendly
with someone in the class that you are teaching, STAY AWAY FROM THEM.  Learn
from my mistakes.  I'll make more of them for your edification.

https://gellerreport.com/2021/08/seven-buses-of-american-female-citizens-taken-by-taliban-no-media-coverage-by-biden-media-including-fox-news.html/
The busses had made it to the Kabul airport but were not allowed in.
No, they are not dead.  They are sex slaves.  Reports of their death is
to allow those responsible (Biden administration) to claim that it's
not worth risking American lives to recover bodies.
When I was considering joining the Armed Forces, my father told
me to go next door to speak to BGen. John Gorman, who had been a U.S.
Army Infantry officer during the Korean War.  Gen. Gorman told me that
when they were retreating from the Chosin Reservoir, the U.S. Army
left their dead behind like trash.  But, the Marines brought all their
dead out.  He told me to join the Marines.  So, I did.
It is quite damning of the Biden administration that they will not
rescue American citizens.
[Tell the insurance company that if they are going to rescue one, they might
as well rescue them all.  They will be heroes.  They will be able to use the
rescue in their advertisements for decades to come.  They will set a precedent.
And mercenaries are cheap and expendable.  There is always credible deniability.]

"Vice President Joe Biden was kicked off the team to kill Osama Bin Laden."
-- CWO5 Doug Englen, U.S. Army Special Operations.

The one of the reasons so many American citizens are still trapped in
Afghanistan is that no one in President Biden's chain of command gave the
evacuation order.  So, no one was given warning to evacuate.  So, none of the
equipment (armored cars, helicopters, night vision, guns, ammo, etc.) was
destroyed before being abandoned.
Another reason is that U.S. forces used Hamid Karzai International Airport
instead of Bagram Air Base which is on a high plateau and much more easily defended.
According to a U.S. Army Intelligence officer.

If you get a good insurance policy, they will give you a list of attorneys
that you can call to get the ball rolling on your behalf.  Keep your mouth shut.
Only speak to police to ask for your attorney to be present.  And then
KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!
You can be completely justified and talk yourself into a homocide conviction,
if you talk, e.g. Michael Andrew Drejka.  Police declined to arrest him because
it was self defense.  The Sheriff declined to press charges becasue it was
self defense.  Then Drejka spends 2 hours talking to police without his attorney.
The recording of his talk is played for the jury at his trial and he is convicted
of manslaughter.  Be smart.  Don't do this.
Everything you say will be used against you.  No matter what you say,
it will be twisted, taken out of context, and distorted to be used against you.
Your only defense is DON'T TALK!  No matter what the other instructors tell you,
don't talk to anyone except your attorney.  Don't even talk to the police with
your attorney present.  Let your attorney give the police a written statement.
DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE except your attorney.

Character counts.

Awareness, Avoidance, De-Escalation, and Escape

Advice from Maj. Dick Winters (World War II U.S. Paratrooper) --
#1 - Strive to be a leader of character, competence, and courage.
#2 - Lead from the front. Say, “Follow me!” and then lead the way.
#3 - Stay in top physical shape. Physical stamina is the root of mental toughness.
#4 - Develop your team. If you know your people, are fair in setting realistic
goals and expectations, and lead by example, you will develop teamwork.
#5 - Delegate responsibility to your subordinates and let them do their jobs.
You can’t do a good job if you don’t have a chance to use your imagination
or your creativity.  [What he means is delegate authority to your subordinates
to do the job, and assume responsibility for the results of the job, the acts
of your subordinates. -- Jon Low]
#6 - Anticipate problems and prepare to overcome obstacles.
Don’t wait until you get to the top of the ridge to make up your mind.
#7 - Remain humble. Don’t worry about who receives the credit.
Never let power or authority go to your head.  [As Abraham Lincoln said,
to know a man's true character, give him power. -- Jon Low]
#8 - Take a moment of self-reflection. Look at yourself in the mirror
every night and ask yourself if you did your best.
#9 - True satisfaction comes from getting the job done.
The key to a successful leader is to earn respect — not because of rank
or position, but because you are a leader of character.
#10 - Hang tough! — Never, ever give up.

“Mission drives the gear train.”
-- Pat Rogers

Earlier this evening, 17 August 2021, an FBI agent came to speak to us at
the Tennessee Firarms Associtaion meeting.  He showed us their SWAT gear and
explained what their SWAT team does and what their rules of engagement are.
For pistols, they use the 9mm Glocks and use Hornaday Critical Duty ammo.  The
box specified for law enforcement only.  No one knew if there was any
difference between that ammo and the kind that you can buy on the open market
that is labeled Hornaday Critical Duty +P.  If you know, please let me know.

At 7:38 of 9:15 the narrator demonstrates why you must be very careful
with the Rare Breed Forced Reset trigger.  It's really easy to lose control
of the trigger and mag dump.  Especially when you get a malfunction, such
as the bolt getting caught on the magazine.  (Not getting the bolt caught
on a round that is stuck in the magazine, the bolt getting stuck on the
magazine.)

"Pistol Barrel Length And Velocity" by Brad Miller, Ph.D.
https://www.ssusa.org/articles/2021/8/16/pistol-barrel-length-and-velocity
Excerpt:
"First, generally speaking, velocity will increase with barrel length,
but not always.  Sometimes a shorter barrel will produce higher speed than
the longer barrel.  [Probably because it's a tighter barrel, initially
slowing the bullet giving the powder more time to burn, resulting in more
pressure. -- Jon Low]
Second, you can get significantly different speeds with barrels of the
same length.  Some barrels are slow or fast, depending on your perspective.
[What perspective?  Chronographs don't have a perspective. -- Jon Low]
Third, temperature might affect barrel length performance due to some
powders’ temperature sensitive nature."
[During WWII the Germans had an 88mm anti-tank gun with a tapered
barrel, got smaller toward the muzzle.  Just as a nozzle on a garden
hose, it greatly increased projectile speed.  But, anything that initially
delays the bullet will cause an increase in muzzle speed, because the
propellant has had more time to burn.  And is thus burning at higher
temperature and pressure, and is therefore burning more efficiently. -- Jon Low]

"China’s Three-child policy formally passed into law"
by OODA Analyst staff
https://www.oodaloop.com/briefs/2021/08/20/chinas-three-child-policy-formally-passed-into-law/
The ChiComs take control of China and implement a one child per family
policy enforced by baby murder and forced sterilization.  In 2016, they
change the policy to two children per couple.  In 2021, they change the
policy to three children per couple.  And yet their birth rate does not rise.
And nobody in their right mind immigrates to China (Except the North Koreans,
which tells you something about North Korea.)
Be scared.  Be very scared.  What is the historical consequence?  Conquest
and expansion to fill the ranks of their dwindling population and their
military in particular.  There is no point in conquering Japan, because
their population is plummeting.  For a myriad of social and economic reasons
the Japanese won't make babies.  The ChiComs have already lost a war with
Vietnam, so that option is out.  The Thai military presently runs the country
and is pretty strong, so that's not a good option.  Look at the map.  The
Chicoms have already conquered Tibet.  The life span in Nepal is so short
that if you or I went there, we'd be the oldest person in the country.
The Chicoms already own all of the infrastructure in Nepal.  So, taking Nepal
doesn't require an invasion.  You see what's left?
Russia's population is also declining.  Leaders are not stupid.  They
know what a declining population means.  They know what they have to do to
prevent disaster due to and aging and declining population.  And they will.
Why are the casinos (term used in Turkey and many Middle Eastern countries
for nightclubs) in Dubai flooded with Russian women?  Because the rate of
sterility of Russian men is sky high.
Propaganda (including the suppression of data) only goes so far.  You
can't change ghost towns and the inability to find workers or people at all.

"If you prepare for the emergency,
the emergency ceases to exist!"
-- Dr. Sherman House

"Defensive Use of Firearms" by Stephen P. Wenger, 2010. (I highly recommend.)
Excerpts:
"Until very recently, virtually all ammunition included lead-based
primers and bullets.  Manufacturers of ammunition with lead-free
primers usually advise using it only for training because its ignition
isn’t as dependable as that with the lead-based primers.
Avoid eating, drinking, and, if you still persist in doing so, smoking
while shooting.  Wash your hands and the facial area around
the mouth between shooting and engaging in those activities.  Be
cautious about shooting on indoor ranges where you can’t feel a
constant flow of air on the back of your neck and where you see
accumulated lead dust on the floor.
Small amounts of lead are briefly vaporized when conventional
ammunition is discharged in a firearm.  This vapor quickly condenses
to fine particles.  If you must shoot in an environment where you feel
the need to use a respirator while shooting, you must use one rated
for lead mists.  While swallowing a large lead bullet probably won’t
produce a measurable increase in your blood lead level, the particles
produced in lead mists and when bullets impact on steel backstops
and targets are small enough to dissolve in stomach acid, allowing
the lead to get into the blood.  Repeated exposure of this sort will
eventually produce toxicity, affecting almost all organ systems of the
body.  Additionally, the lead will get incorporated into bone, allowing
the lead to persist longer in the body, even after you take steps to
limit exposure.  Take all reasonable steps to avoid tracking these tiny
particles into your home, where they will find their way into carpeting
and upholstery and continue to find their way into your body for
years to come.  Take similar precautions while cleaning firearms and
reloading ammunition.  I now use one of the water-based bore cleaners
for all but high-power rifles in order to reduce exposure to other
potentially toxic chemicals that can be inhaled from the more traditional
solvents."
. . .
"The point is that the autonomic nervous system is an extension of
the central nervous system, and the adrenal glands are merely amplifiers
of the SANS [Sympathetic Autonomic Nervous System, as opposed to the
Parasympathetic Autonomic Nervous System -- Jon Low].  The epinephrine,
or adrenaline, released by the adrenal glands doesn’t even get into the
brain.  This is because it is a polar substance, meaning it tends to
remain in the watery environment of the blood rather than moving to the
fatty environment of the brain.  Some people argue that epinephrine plays
a role in shunting blood to different areas of the brain, but it can’t do
so until after the brain has had time to activate the SANS, which in turn
has to stimulate the adrenals, which have to release the epinephrine,
which then has to travel through the bloodstream.
My argument is that when fright or stress interferes with our
ability to perform, it is the result of what happens in the brain,
not the release of epinephrine.  Thus, if we are successful in our
inoculation process, we can limit the degradation of our fighting
skills."

Beirut, Lebanon:
Shiite militiamen (Iranian backed) detonated a truck bomb at the U.S. military
barracks near the Beirut airport, killing 241 marines.  Minutes later a second
bomb killed 58 French paratroopers in their barracks in West Beirut.
We never forget.  The hunt goes on.

Besides neither of which is Marine Corps policy.)  Jesus commands us to
forgive.  So, we kill without anger.  As the mosquito on your arm.

When I was working at Marine Forces Pacific G-2 (G-2 is the
intelligence command) at Camp Smith in Hawaii, the staff NCO briefing
us on a mission told us to bring our own credit cards because we
might have to find our own way home.  (That was on the script.  Off
the record, he told us to bring gold coins.)  The brief for the guys
presently in Afghanistan included similar orders.
I had a girlfriend when I was attending the University of Hawaii.
She told me of her family's escape from Vietnam when the South fell.
Her father used gold coins to buy their way out.  I'm sure your loved
ones have done the same.  Anticipate and act.
When my parents traveled, they carried ransom insurance and told
me about it, so that there would be someone back home to activate the
policy and get the ball rolling.  (My father did not trust me to launch
a rescue.)  Insurance companies are not like emotional relatives,
they don't pay the ransom and pray that the kidnappers will release the
hostages.  It's just business.  They ensure that they don't get scammed.
And they never get scammed.  I'm sure your loved ones have a similar
insurance policy.  Find the insurance company.
The present POTUS and his appointed generals are not competent to
get our people out of Afghanistan.  (If they were competent, we would
not be in the present situation.)  Just as President Carter was not competent to
get our people out of Iran.  So, your best bet (and it is only a high
risk bet) is to hire a private firm to launch a rescue operation.  I
would suggest you approach the insurance company and explain to them
that a $500,000 rescue would be better than a $5,000,000 ransom payment.
(Of course, if you are the beneficiary if the principals are lost, I'm
talking to the wrong person.)
Insurance companies that sell such policies have a list of companies
that they can call on to launch a rescue.  Make sure the insurance company
understands that you signing the documents, as executor of the estate,
is contingent upon a rescue mission, not a body extraction, not a recovery
of remains.
If the insurance company is lost in space, ask the insurance company
to contact Lockheed Martin Middle East Services.  (Sorry, but I have been
out so long that all of my contacts are long since dead or retired.)
LMMES will tell them that they are not in that business.  But, someone
might call them back.  Let the insurance company handle it, don't get
involved.  You are emotionally involved.  Your judgment is compromised.
Don't get involved.
Remember, this is an intelligence driven mission.  There is no point
in doing anything until you know exactly where they will be and exactly
when they will be there.  You may have to set things up and wait for your
loved ones to contact you to give you that information.  God works on
His own time.  He can also do more than we can hope or imagine.

British English is different from American English.
For instance, in British English, "decillion" means 10^60,
that is the digit "1" followed by 60 zeros in a base 10
number system (decimal number system).  In American English,
"decillion" means 10^33, one followed by 33 zeros.  So,
there are 27 orders of magnitude difference between the
languages.

The word hexadecimal (base 16 number system) is a mish mash
of Greek and Latin.  More correct would be sexadecimal (Latin)
or hexadeka (Greek).

I was moving my personal library and realized many of my books
are for dead languages:  Latin, Old English, Middle English, Ada,
Prolog, and such.  If you are a scholar of dead languages, let me
know.  My books are looking for a good home.
