***** Mindset *****

"At least once, everyone should have to run for his life,
so  he will know and understand that eggs don’t come from
stores, that safety does not come from police, and that
'news' is not something that happens to other people."
-- Robert Heinlein

Life and Death!
by John Farnam | 8 May 2017
Please read this and pass it along to your friends
and relatives.  We must win the culture war with truth.
Otherwise, the enemy's propaganda will convince the
people that the government will protect them, so they
should not buy guns and get training.

Mr. Haytack recommends reinserting the same magazine
you just pulled out of the pistol when clearing a type III
malfunction (failure to extract the empty brass and the
pistol attempting to load a new cartridge into the chamber
with the spent brass still in the chamber).  I was taught
at Front Sight to dump the magazine in the pistol, because
it may be the cause of the problem.  Of course, you have
to have another magazine to insert into the pistol.

Malfunction Drills got a little too exciting

". . . have shot terrorist vests found here in the USA,
and every single one detonated on impact."
Your mission is to win the fight, so as to protect
yourself and your loved ones.  As they teach us in the
Marine Corps, do whatever is necessary to accomplish
the mission.
The aftermath is unfortunate.  That's why God
created attorneys.  Hire one and let him do his job.
I know Marines who were court-martialed for
their combat actions.  I donated to SSgt. Wuterich's
defense fund.  (I will always refer to him as
Staff Sergeant.)  So, I know the aftermath is bad.
I have never faced the aftermath.  We always
just walked away and left the area (went home to
America) after the action. So, I cannot speak from
personal experience.  But, no matter how bad the
aftermath, it's better than being dead.

have submitted an application to be an instructor.

Our new research shows how concentrated murders are in the US.
The vast majority of murders in the US occur in just a tiny
percentage of counties. Most counties don’t experience any
murders. In 2014, 54% of US counties had zero murders.
69% had no more than one murder. More than half of the
murders in the US occur in just 2% of counties. Furthermore,
murders tend to be concentrated within relatively small
portions of those counties. The vast swathes of the
United States with no murders are also the areas where gun
ownership tends to be by far the highest.

The bit about veterans is correct.  The U.S. Army
has laundry men, who run the field laundries to
keep everyone's clothes clean.  This is an essential
service to maintain troop health and moral.  But,
they have no combat training.  They have no firearms
training.  They are honorable men and competent
soldiers.  But, they are not combat operators.
